Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was once again very busy for us. We didn't head to Washington until late Wednesday night because Marcel was at worship practice for the weekend services which he led (the services turned out great--he was beyond amazing, I was so proud!). We spent Wednesday night at his dad's and then had breakfast there Thanksgiving morning, before heading up to his mom's house for the traditional Thanksgiving meal. The food was delicious, although I ate too much breakfast (it's my absolute favorite meal of all!) so I didn't eat much that day. Coco sent us home with plenty of leftovers, so I've now had my share! On our way back to Oregon, we stopped at Jill's house, Marcel's good friend and best woman in our wedding, for a short visit turned long, which was wonderful. Home before midnight so I could be up at 4am to work Black Friday @ Banana...

Like always when I get out my camera, Snoh thinks it is the most fascinating thing in the world so he served as our photographer. Most of them are blurry, but I think these ones turned out well...
The 3 of us... and once Marcel got to push the button Snoh had to...see next picture Marcel had to stabilize the camera, but it was Snoh to take the picture

Snoh was directing us... "Brother you have silly face and MaryBeth you have happy face." This was the result.

Hope everyone had a great holiday! Christmas is right around the corner and I'm starting to get into the spirit and really want to decorate our place and a tree, but to be moving in less than 3 weeks makes it a bit impractical, and we won't be in Idaho until 5 days before Christmas, so I'm not sure how much decorating will happen for our first Christmas as husband & wife...

Marcel's Vows

I started this post a very long time ago, but due to our very slow internet (we borrow it from the laundromat down the street) it would never load the video correctly. Getting my Grandma's memory card for her video of the song, reminded me about this post!

For our wedding, we decided that we wanted our ceremony to be very personal yet we still wanted the traditional vows. So we prepared messages for each other. Of course, mine was a short, simple, yet sweet message to my husband, but I of couse was in for a huge surprise when he jumped off the backside of the stage for his guitar!

Thanks to Kristen for the video--it's a bit shaky at the beginning, but it does get better. It's funny to watch because you can hear people laughing at certain lines of his song.

The Time Has Come

Last night we got our 1675 wedding photos back from our photographers. We went through all of them last night very briefly and I've spent a bit of time today rotating them (when he burned them to a DVD for us, that didn't come through) and trying to sort them. We have yet to look at them in regards to which ones we like and want to print and hang in our apartment that could use some more decoration, but overall we are very impressed and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for great photographers who has Marcel likes to say "Saved the Day Super Hero Style" (they were much more than photographers for us--they always were able to help when the baker told us we'd be assembling the cake, and when the bridesmaids sashes wouldn't tie...the list goes on!)

This is my favorite of us so far
Let it hold you over until we can pick the best ones!

The First of the Wedding Pictures

I have managed to get some pictures off facebook (and some through email, thanks Jen!!) and thought I'd put my favorites together in one place. I am even going to try to put them in some logical order even though my computer doesn't have them sorted that way.

Wedding

Our wedding was absolutely wonderful. Better than we could have ever imagined or worked for. I'm so glad we didn't stress too much over the planning throughout our engagement, because things turned out so well without the stress! I don't have a single picture on my camera from the wedding day, and there's some all over facebook that I just haven't managed to steal many yet, but here's what I got so far...

My sisters came to Oregon a week before the wedding to have fun and also help with the wedding. One of our jobs was to make M&M bags for favors, chosen since we didn't have to personalize them: M&M is who we are!

Emily is a perfectionist and struggled making a bow she was happy with.

Sisters with our wonderful creations

I rode in the backseat of my mom's car after picking up round 2 of our flowers from Costco. This is what I saw

I'll make another post (or more) when I get around to stealing pictures from facebook & myspace, and again when we get our 1000+ pictures back from our photographer. Also, I want to post about our honeymoon (which was absolutely wonderful) but I hate to post without pictures and I have yet to gone through the 700 pictures we took on our week vacation, so that's coming too! You'll just have to wait and see ;)
