April

At the beginning of April, Lilli figured out the pattern of numbers and was able to type to 59.  She can just about count to 100 on her own but writing them out is hard again.  We need to practice more.

She lost her first tooth and then a few days later she went to the dentist and he decided she needed to have the next one pulled because the permanent tooth was set so far back.

I also made peanut butter for the first time.  Cece was not a fan of this process.  She kept saying loud, loud.  Now I don't even have to have the blender out, but if I say "let's make a smoothie" she says "oh no, too loud."  This batch of peanut butter wasn't very good.  We ate it on toast with honey, but I've since made a second batch (using peanut oil) and it was much better!

Cece also found quite the personality and a level of stubbornness.  She won't do something if it doesn't fit her plans.  In this picture I had asked her to get a pull-up so she could get the dirty one off.  She said no and crossed her arms in frustration at me.

In a much happier moment, I let her go without pants (it happens quite frequently) and eat cheese, her 2 favorites!

We had a fun month of crafts too!

Our "little" envelope date this month was to play tennis.  We drove down to the middle school and had a great time.  Neither of us are very good, but we still got a few good volleys.  And we had a great time!

I got an email from Regal Theaters with free passes to see an early release Age of Adaline.  We both really enjoyed the movie and won't ever forget the movie was saw security guards.  We had to have our phones completely powered off, and because they were so worried about recording devices, they made Marcel put his watch (that checks his heart rate and steps) because the screen can illuminate.  If they saw anything illuminate during the movie you were automatically kicked out, no questions asked, and they felt it was better for us to be overly cautious, then to have something happen!

Marcel's birthday fell on a Sunday, so we celebrated with the girls on Friday.
Lilli typed Marcel this message on her own!

We made yummy, low sugar oatmeal raisin cookies, because they are his favorite.

The girls each made Marcel a birthday card

On Saturday, we headed to Tucanos, because you have to go there for your free meal.

And even though I didn't want our envelope dates to be used for birthdays, we had run out of time for the "big" envelope date for April, and I knew it was one Marcel had been asking to do for a really long time.  BOWLING!

Then we went to Fast & Furious 7!
